Buffy was huge on the internet in the 90s. Like, you get very far on Usenet without tripping over some Buffy fan forum. And how many webrings were devoted to Buffy? How many people had hand-coded html fanpages listing all their favorite sites and fics? And remember that one episode where Willow talked about writing Doogie Houser fanfic? (Which is super-ironic all these years later, considering.) And all the brilliant dialogue? And all the ships? OMG, SO many ships.
